The Cult of the Used: A New Chapter Unveiled
In an exciting move, Death Angel has just unleashed their newest track, "Cult of the Used," a powerful addition to their repertoire. This release comes as a precursor to their highly anticipated "Act III US Tour," which is set to commence later this month.
"Cult of the Used" is a testament to the band's enduring spirit and creativity, marking only their second new song in the last six years. With a unique blend of propulsive grooves and lean thrash riffs, this track showcases the band's signature sound and evolution.
The vocals, delivered with timeless energy by Mark Osegueda, take center stage, narrating a thought-provoking story. Osegueda describes it as "a depiction of society under hypnosis, being strategically manipulated and taken advantage of." A powerful message indeed!

The setlist for the tour promises an immersive experience, featuring a full playthrough of Act III, which celebrated its 35th anniversary this past April. The tour kicks off on November 26th in Denver and wraps up with a two-night stand at The Fillmore in San Francisco on December 18th and 19th. Joining Death Angel on this journey are support acts Toxic Holocaust, Lions at the Gate, and Misfire.
"Cult of the Used" follows the band's previous single, "Wrath (Bring Fire)," released in June, marking their first new song since 2019.
And here's an interesting twist: Osegueda, the band's lead singer, has been moonlighting as the lead vocalist for Kerry King's eponymous band. Talk about a double dose of talent!
